This remnant, known as the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Christians, reinstituted the 'Catholicate of the East' to Kottayam (India) in the year 1912. His Holiness Baselios Marthoma Didymos I-is the present Catholicos and is the successor to the Apostolic throne of St Thomas. |
